This year’s conference revolves around the broad phenomenon of on-location shooting, but is interested in examining this cinematic concept through the lens of “smallness.”

Charlie is a published researcher and also works on a freelance basis in the audio-visuals and performance arts. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the Department of Film Studies at Queen Mary University of London.
Dina Iordanova joined St. Andrews as the University's first Chair in Film Studies and led the start of that Department's dramatic climb up the research league tables to the best score achieved by a department in Scotland in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise. She is a highly accomplished researcher who has published extensively on transnational cinema.
Sue Harris has developed her lecturing career at the University of Stirling (1993-1999) and Queen Mary, University of London (2000-present). She is an Associate Editor of French Cultural Studies and an advisory board member of Studies in French Cinema.
Guillaume Dreyfuss joined AP in 2001 and is the expert in the identification, assessment and presentation of values associated with heritage assets, as well as in the preparation of restoration, maintenance, and management strategies. Guillaume obtained a Master’s degree in Built Environment, Sustainable Heritage from University College London. He is also co-editor of the publication The Founding Myths of Architecture and A Printed Thing.
After obtaining a master degree in architecture in Brussels, Tom Van Malderen worked as an architect in different positions in Belgium, Malta and the UK. He has a senior position with Architecture Project Ltd. in Malta and explores, alongside the practice, architecture through means of writing, installations and lecturing. Tom is a correspondent for international magazines and collaborates with several cultural organisations and artists.
Dr. Giukin has a degree in theory and criticism from the West University of Timisoara (Romania), a MA in French Literature (University of Illinois in Chicago) and a Ph.D in Interdisciplinary French Studies (Cinema Studies) from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
